How-To

1-How To configure MYX5 :

-In menu “Accesorries /Data/Speed” configure at 57600 bps

-Enable IR : Menu “Accesorries /Data/IRDA”

2-How To configure PALM:

-In prefs/general : Enable IR reception (Beam receive / On)

-Download PalmSagem and run it. It look like:

3-How To export all my SIM card to memopad:

80 = Number of items to be downloaded. For your first experiment, choose 10 for example

Put your mobile phone in front on your palm, then press Export All

Wait for the end of the process. All your items are now in a memopad item on your palm.

3-How To load a specific phone number:

-Choose an position using << and >>. For example 5

-Press Load. You obtain that:

4-How To edit this number

-Select “advanced”

-Then press Edit

Then you may change the position (5), the dialing number (123) or the name.

5-How To put it into my phone:

-Press Save.

6-How To create a new item:

-Press New. Replace xx by the position where it will be stored

-Press OK then save

7-How to Send a memo to the phone

-Write your memo in the field: E.g. “This is a text”

-Then press the menu Main/Send text to phone

The text is stored in the draft directory of your SMS messaging menu.

8-How To send an image or a sound:

-Use the menu Files:

You need to store the file you want send on a memorystick (Sony) or SD card (Palm).

Then browse whre the file is:

When you’ll press OK the transfer process will begin. You’ll have to press several time “Next” when required.

You can transfer jpg,gif,bmp images and midi, wav files.

9-How To tranfer image without External card?

You can’t, except the ones that are in Test menu.

10-How to read Phone memory items:

Select “Phone” in place of “Sim”

11-How To import a set of item to the phone:

First you have to put in the palm memopad an entry of this format:

129 is for domectic format.145 is for international format.

The go to PALMSAGEM and choose “Import from memo” in the menu Main.

Choose “Sagem List To Send”

The transfer starts.
