What it is ?

Cryptofile viewer can crypt your multimedia files on an storage card. With SONY CLIE, it allows also to view encryted jpeg image. Cryptofile is freeware.

Requirements

Palm OS > 4.0 (M505,CLIE)

External storage card (SD, MS, CF)

The embeded jpeg viewer is available for SONY CLIE Clie NR/NX/NZ series and T650C/T665C/T675C

How to crypt/uncrypt a file


BASIC MODE	EXTENDED MODE

In the field ‘key’, enter your personal password
In the popup list, choose the type of file you want to crypt. If you select the jogdial option, you can use it to enter the key on clie.
Choose the file to be crypted by taping on
Select the file, then OK. The [Next] button continues to scan files. [Card] changes the current card (This feature is compatible with Eruware Compact Flash driver http://www.eruware.com .
Start crypting by taping on. Now You may delete the original file. The new one has the same name, but a .cry extension

How to use the embeded jpeg viewer (with Clie Handheld)

Tap the viewer icon
Choose the crypted jpg or the jpg image
Hit [jpgdecrypt] button. You may use the menu to change the size of the image. On Sony Clie, Jogdial resize image between original size and half size.
By pushing JogDial on clie, you can go back to the main from.

Other functions

In extended mode, Cryptofile allows batch encrytion. Be carefull using this option, especially if you’ve a lot of file or if you selected the “Delete file after encryption” option.

Nota:

Cryptofile works on many handheld. However, the viewer requires the JpegLibrary from sony. This library is not delivered with N770, however, it is possible to extract it from the rom of the NR70-V. Contact me if you need help.
